InSaneScanner serves as an efficient frontend for SANE (Scanner Access Now Easy), enabling users to scan directly from a flatbed scanner to their Android device. This application is particularly notable for its flexibility, as it does not require the scanner to be wireless, provided it is properly configured with a SANE backend.

After scanning, users can conveniently email the images or view and save them using any graphics viewer on their Android device. InSaneScanner boasts support for a wide range of USB flatbed and all-in-one printer/scanners from reputable brands such as HP, Canon, Epson, and Brother.

Furthermore, the application allows users to scan over the Internet, given that their server is configured to facilitate this feature.
